Marlisah Kerbs Honored for Participating in UNM-Valencia's TRiO-Upward Bound Program

Marlisah Kerbs, a Junior at Valencia High School was among 46 students who were recently honored at the UNM-Valencia Campus for participating in the TRiO-Upward Bound Program.

Upward Bound is a free, year-round college prep program for high school students. The goal of the program is to prepare low-income, first-generation, college-bound students for success in post-secondary education.

Students attending Belen High School, Los Lunas High School or Valencia High School can qualify for selection to the program. Once selected, students remain in the program until their graduation from high school and completion of their first semester of college.

Marlisah was among the 46 students honored for successfully completing another school year in the Upward Bound Program at a luncheon held on the campus April 30th.
